About Me

Hey there! I’m a proud “South gyal” from the vibrant twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, where flavors are as bold and colorful as the culture itself. Growing up, food was always at the heart of my family gatherings, from spicy curries bubbling in the pot to sweet treats that could instantly lift anyone’s mood. My love for Caribbean cuisine is deeply rooted in my childhood, but it also grew stronger with each holiday spent with my grandparents in Jamaica. There, I learned that the magic of food transcends borders, bringing together the unique flavors, spices, and traditions of each island.

As an avid foodie, I’ve explored much of the Caribbean, immersing myself in the rich, diverse food cultures of countries like Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, and beyond. Every stop is a chance to try something new, whether it’s a beachside jerk stand in Montego Bay, a fish fry in Tobago, or a roti shop tucked away in Port of Spain.

My blog is a celebration of these travels, memories, and flavors—bringing you traditional recipes, local favorites, and modern Caribbean-inspired twists. Whether you’re craving classic oxtail stew, or spicy jerk chicken, or want to dive into Caribbean desserts, I’m here to bring you the tastes of the islands, one recipe at a time. Let’s explore the Caribbean through our shared love of food!
